Ghettoblaster interviewed Jon Wasleske as we prepared to release Wanderlust. The introduction recapped the early EPs, independent touring, 15,000 records sold, Mae’s farewell tour and Vans Warped Tour before turning to the new sessions with John Fields and Bleu.
Jon explained that the band had written for roughly two years and that the collaboration encouraged us to take more risks. He singled out “Impossibly” as the sharpest break from the earlier catalog and connected the record’s eighties synth colors to influences shared by Kipp and Fields.
